Here’s hoping everyone is having an enjoyable Sunday.
Today I have been completing chores that I haven’t been able to do either because of my back or because we spent the last 4 days on the road. This past week we’ve been going up and down I75 to get to our Dr. apts. and to our daughter’s home for Halloween. We had a very enjoyable time visiting and getting to see how her chickens were doing. It was a different Halloween but fun all the same.
I think this year we’ve had to reevaluate how we do things and just what is important to each of us. It is wonderful to visit family and friends again and going out to shop and do other things I find that to me the mask is just another way to stay safe and sane while I do this. To me it’s right up there with an umbrella for the rain, seatbelts, no smoking in public places and having a designated driver when you go out drinking. I’ve learned to accept all of these so the mask wasn’t that hard to add to my everyday life.
I don’t know about all of you but I will be glad when this election is over. I am tired of all the ads on my phone and on social media and all over the roads we must travel. I am sure you know who you are voting for as do I and we don’t need someone telling us that we are wrong. This is the USA and voting is a private privilege that we acquired when we turned 18. Boy was that many moons ago! Okay off my Soap Box now!
My back is much better and it was my own fault for cutting that little stump off. I did it the wrong way and boy did I pay for that. Lesson learned!
I will be moving my garden closer to Tank’s burrow as that seems to be where the sun likes to shine for hours at a time. I will be redrawing our site map again as we have changed our mind on where the fence is going, the barn and a bunch of other things too. I still need to design the Big Foot Cave/Hobby Center and get the Big Foot drawn onto the tank by the grandboys play area. I also have an idea for an entrance into their play area and I hope it will turn out as I have envisioned it. Lots of other projects both big and small just waiting for us to do them. It takes time to get them all planned and then to actually do them without working 7 days a week and 24 hours a day. We do have to remind ourselves we aren’t in our 40’s any more and we are retired! Sometimes that does work and sometimes it doesn’t just depends on the day.
This week is a trip to City Hall’s Zoning because we have a few questions we need answered. Then it’s back to work in the pasture to continue cutting the trees we’ve marked. Of course Tuesday we will vote and then go to pick up our grocery order and I also have plants coming in to be set out or planted (bulbs). So this week should be another busy one.
I have to run the dryer just beeped for me!
Hope all of you have a great week!
