One change I’ve noticed in my nomad life is that my nails seem to break every few months. They get to a nice length and I run one into a container and that is the beginning of all of them breaking. I do use Hard As Nails on them but with all the dishes I do it seems to wear off rather quickly. I have considered going and having my nails done but my real concern is that I would be getting the fills all over as we are moving about every 2 weeks. I’ve had some experience with nail pops before because the different nail techs don’t always use the same products. Does anyone have any suggestions? I haven’t decided what I am going to do yet.
Another change is my HAIR! The on going love/hate relationship we have is very real. I’ve decided to let my hair do it’s own thing with the color. Though I do miss my dark brown hair a lot. I just don’t want to deal with having to color it every 4 to 6 weeks. Hair color just doesn’t seem to last on my hair. I am considering after we get to Georgia to have some high lights put in it. I’ve had them before and I liked the look and they grow out well too. The main issue I am having besides the color is the cut. I tried for a cut that any salon should have been able to do but I have found that isn’t the case. I have ended up with a “NEW” hairstyle more often than I have wanted! So I am thinking of getting rid of the bangs they are a pain to maintain. I do not cut my own hair for obvious reasons I would make a huge mess out of it. So I am thinking of a chin length or shoulder length style. What do you think? Any suggestions? The main problem is in letting my hair grow out is the frustrations of that process. How to style it so it looks good while this is taking place. Help! I get tired of headbands all the time because my bangs are getting in my eyes.
I knew there would be some challenges in our Nomad way of life. I just never thought my hair and nails would be the one that actually concerns me the most. I guess I am more vain than I thought I was.
We had a good day yesterday and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the afternoon and the antics of other campers. It was most entertaining. We also had a wonderful campfire. It was a beautiful clear night with lots of stars shinning. Good conversation made a very pleasant evening.
Today is a hiking day as we are doing part of the Florida Trail here in the park. It’s suppose to be a mile long to the park boundary. Then we will walk the bike trail back to the park’s entrance where our truck will be waiting to take us home. So should be a good day.
Well I have breakfast to make first. Cinnamon rolls and bacon so I guess I had better get started.
Have a great Monday everyone.
